Energy Connections 2010 Summit - Presentations available online

Manufacturing is one of Ontario’s top priority sectors. In partnership with the CME, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sandra Pupatello presented the Energy Connections Summit at the International Business Centre in Mississauga on March 4, 2010.

Energy market and diversification opportunities were among the topics CME covered at this Ontario-sponsored event. The summit focused on building awareness of business and supply chain opportunities in the Nuclear, Wind, Solar, and Oil & Gas sectors, as well as opportunities around the Smart Grid infrastructure.

Senior executives from some of the most knowledgeable and relevant companies in Canada's various energy industries offered a high-level discussion around the future of energy in Canada. Panelists offered their perspectives on growth opportunities in their sectors in Canada, highlighting where Ontario manufacturers can play a role.

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm - Breakout Sessions:

Each breakout session focused on one specific energy sector and helped participants understand how to build a business model for that particular sector. Sessions also outlined strategies for success, touching on a range of energy issues, including nuclear, wind, oil and gas, solar power and smart grids.
